Ana M. Moreno, MS, LMHC, CAP, ICADC, CIP, CDWF
I have been working in the field of mental health since 2002, successfully employing a Cognitive Behavioral approach, combined with other proven therapies, where we examine our thoughts and actions in the healing process. I believe we are neurobiologically wired to have intimate and close connections; however, when we are hurting and feeling disconnected, we often move to thoughts and actions – such as substance abuse – that are self-destructive. We not only harm ourselves but alienate ourselves from our most important relationships and loved ones.
My goal is to work with my clients to achieve their own wellbeing. I help clients and families explore the patterns and behaviors that, when repeated, only yield to the same results, often exacerbating the cycle of pain and poor outcomes. I aim to help families guide my clients back to health using education, compassion and accountability.
